Both of Seggiano’s chocolate spreads are organic and vegan and neither contains palm oil, or even emulsifiers to marry the fat and water molecules, but are smoothed and creamed the slow natural way, by continuous stone grinding. It was a long and hard process to reach their recipe, which doesn’t substitute oil and sugar, those empty calories, in the place of (much more expensive) nutritious hazelnuts. You’ll find a whopping 41% hazelnut content in Seggiano Crunchy Chocolate Hazelnut Spread. Created for grown ups, it is now certified vegan. It’s made by two lovely brothers in Sicily, who use local Nebrodi hazelnuts, slow ground with cocoa to make it luxuriously rich and creamy.
Stir in any surface oil before use. Store away from heat and light but don’t refrigerate.
